How to Setup the Connector

Step 1. Go to SolarWinds Papertrail.

Step 2. Click the Log In button.

Step 3. Enter your admin credentials and click the Log In button.

Step 4. Once logged in, click the Settings button > Profile

Step 5. Scroll down to find your user profile. Verify that the logged in user has the setting Manage users and permissions. Copy the API Token.

Step 6. Log into Clarity Security.

Step 7. Click on Applications and select Marketplace.

Step 8. Scroll to find SolarWinds Papertrail and click Connect.

Step 9. On the Connect App page, enter the API Token from Step 5 and click the Validate button.

Complete the App Settings form.  Details for fields common to all applications can be found in the following article: Common App Configuration Steps.

Step 10. Fill out the App Settings form.

Note: A default entitlement for new users is not required.

Step 11. Fill out the User Settings form.

Note: Deactivate users on termination is available & delete users on termination is not available. 

Complete the User Settings form, and check the table at the top to see if any features are unsupported.  Details for each field can be found in the following article: Common App Configuration Steps.

Step 12. Validate Your Selections and Save.

Save
Clicking the Save button will trigger the first full sync for your application (even if you selected Manual syncing).  This includes Service Users, Entitlements, Service User Entitlements, Service User Attributes.
